Bobby Rydell has died. In the early 1960s, he was considered a teen idol. His most well-known songs include “Wild One”, “Volare”, The Cha Cha Cha” and he appeared in the movie Bye Bye Birdie in 1963. He was 79.

Chris Owens, longtime Bourbon Street entertainer and club owner has died.  Her publicist Kitsy Adams confirmed Owens’ death, saying she died at her St. Louis Street home of a heart attack. R.I.P. Chris Owens. This image is from a 1957 issue of Saturday Evening Post.
