Krewe Of Tix Remembers Lloyd Price
Mr. Personality Rock n’ Roll Pioneer Lloyd Price has passed away
His hits ‘Personality’,Ā ‘Stagger Lee’, ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ and many others were among the first to attract attention from a wide Rock ānā Roll audience. He was born March 9th 1933 in Kenner, LA. He burst onto the national music scene in the 1950s with his distict New Orleans stroll sound.
Maxwell Entertainment owner Rickey Poppell posted the news on Facebook, saying, āMy friend and Lloyd Priceās manager, Tom Trapani, just called to let me know that our friend, Lloyd, passed away last night. Those of us close to Lloyd have been keeping his declining health issues to our selves for the past five years, while Tom kept me up to date along the way. Lloyd was one of the sweetest, caring and kindest man Iāve ever known, Iāll miss him. My prayers go out to his lovely wife, Jackie.ā
Lloyd Price was 88 years old.
