BATTLE OF THE SANDS BEACH BASH
Raising Mental Health Awareness & Funding for Resources
In the Greater New Orleans Area

New Orleans, LA: On Saturday, July 28, 2018, the Brett Thomas Doussan Foundation will host the 2018 Battle of the Sands Beach Bash. The beach bash will take place at Coconut Beach Sand Sports Complex in Kenner from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The Battle of the Sands Beach Bash is an all ages dog friendly competitive beach volleyball tournament and pool party offering live entertainment, slip-n-slides, a parade of prizes, raffles, team competitions, a kids’ corner, and more. Live entertainment will feature DJ sets by three New Orleans DJs including local legend, DJ Jubilee. There will be a VIP Hospitality Cabana sponsored by Malibu, Absolut, Jameson, and Altos. The 2018 Battle of the Sands Beach Bash is a community effort to raise awareness and funding for the foundation’s mission and beneficiaries.

About the Brett Thomas Doussan Foundation (BTD Foundation): The BTD Foundation’s mission is to raise mental health awareness though advocacy, education, and music in the Greater New Orleans area and across the Gulf South. Funds raised at the 2018 Battle of the Sands Beach Bash will benefit the BTD Foundation’s local beneficiaries including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Louisiana Chapter, the Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit of Children’s Hospital New Orleans and Project Paint, Loyola University’s Music Therapy Graduate Program and the BTD Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) New Orleans Chapter, and the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation.
